この切り絵は、『森の中で一人で生きていた少女と親に死なれた狼が出会い、家族として共に協力して生きていたけれど、狼の寿命が尽きて亡くなってしまった。そして、少女から成長さは、皆を、守る戦士のようになった娘は、狼の死後も共に歩めるよう、その誇り高い意志を告げるよう狼を毛皮にし生涯共にあった。』 そんな自作の話を切り絵にしました。 日本の子供たちに強くたくましく、優しく生き抜いてください。という想いを込めて作った作品です。 This paper-cut art depicts a story of my own creation: A girl living alone in the forest meets a wolf that has lost its parents; they become a family and survive by helping one another, until the wolf eventually passes away of old age. The girl grows into a warrior who protects her community; wishing to walk alongside the wolf even after its death and to honor its proud spirit, she preserves its pelt and keeps it with her for the rest of her life. I created this piece with the hope that children in Japan will grow up to be strong, resilient, and kind as they navigate their lives.
